Stop Wireless Networks Prompt on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

Some think it’s handy, some think it’s the most annoying thing ever.

I fall into the later group.  It is nothing less than infuriating when my iOS devices prompt me to join every wi-fi network in a 100 meter radius.

And with more and more wireless hotspots popping up in people’s homes and businesses the prompts just get more frequent.

Here’s how to disable those prompts:

1.  Tap Settings

2.  Tap Wi-Fi

3.  Set Ask to Join Networks toggle switch to OFF

This works nicely on any iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with Wi-FI (which is eh, all of em).

I just tested it right now on an iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.3.3.
